The 10th International Shiatsu Conference was held at the Hotel New Otani in Japan. Along with an 88th birthday party for the chairperson, Tokujiro Namikoshi sensei, there were over 1000 participants from all over the world including Japan.
At noon, after he vice-chairperson, Yoshihiro Yamaoka sensei, made a declaration of the conference, Tokujiro Namikoshi sensei spoke about the last conferences since the beginning , and followed by giving an award to the Shiatsu contributors.
At the 88th birthday party for Tokujiro Namikoshi sensei, a parliamentary deputy, Kunio Hatoyama, originator of the party, took time out from his busy government schedule, visited and delivered a congratulatory message, followed by flowers and gifts presented to Tokujiro Namikosei sensei from the considerable personage. Then, they make a long line that shows his wide personal connections throughout the various fields of business, domestically and internationally.
Then the reception party with the considerable personage in a congenial atmosphere was successful. The conference was concluded.
